Trolley Wire is a quarterly journal of record containing articles on tramway history from around Australia and New Zealand, with the occasional international story; reports on contemporary tramway and light rail news; regular updates on the activities of COTMA member museums; and obituaries of prominent tramway identities. The editors aim for a balance of about half each of contemporary and historical articles, and about half each of material from New South Wales and from other jurisdictions.

Individual copies cost $12 and subscriptions for four issues are $45 posted anywhere in Australia, $65 posted to New Zealand or Asia, or $80 posted elsewhere.
